British native Vicky Beeching has been involved in worship ministry since she was a small child. By her early teens, Vicky knew that she wanted to spend her life helping people connect with God through music.
Torn between going to a University or hitting the road to start a full-time worship ministry, Vicky decided to attend Oxford where she earned a Theology degree. Her studies became the training ground for her songwriting, shaping her mind and taking her deep into God’s Word. “It’s often said that songwriters are the theologians of our day as people remember songs far more than sermons,” she says. “Songs literally are the soundtrack of our lives – so getting good theology into songs is vital.”
During and after Oxford, she continued to lead worship, ministering alongside Matt Redman, Tim Hughes and Brenton Brown. She also collaborated with JUNO Award-winning artist Brian Doerksen, writing songs on the Hungry, Holy, Surrender and Best of Vineyard projects. She also released two solo albums, Yesterday, Today & Forever and Painting the Invisible.
Vicky currently resides in San Diego, California but continues a busy touring schedule that frequently takes her home to the U.K. She also is signed to worship label Integrity Music, with whom she released a 3-song digital EP and is working on Eternity Invades, a new album set to release in April 2010.
